Tree Centering | Stop Tree Rotting and Disease
WHAT IS TREE CENTERING?
Centering removes overgrowth from the inside layers of your tree to promote a healthier ecosystem and increase the tree’s ability to photosynthesize.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CENTERING?
When your tree’s inner layers are overgrown, it creates a stagnant environment where pests thrive; more insects mean a less healthy tree and a greater chance of damage from storms, rotting, and disease. By thinning the center branches of your tree, you are increasing airflow which makes it a less desirable environment for insects as well as diseases and tree rot.
By removing excess inner growth, your trees are better able to absorb the energy they need from the sun. Greater photosynthesis means a healthier overall ecosystem. It can also benefit plants nearby that had been shaded by the overgrowth.
